The ground… Or the sea, given our helicopters are equipped with floaters.

A helicopter has the ability of vertical take-off and landing. This unique ability makes a helicopter able to approach virtually any location. This makes helicopters a means of choice for search and rescue missions, evacuation missions, transports missions to oil rigs, etc.

HeliOps Group missions usually commence from an appropriate Airport or Heliport. For Civil and Transportation flights all civil airports are available to be chosen as a departure point or as the destination. Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” (IATA: ATH, ICAO: LGAV) is usually to be avoided due to dense airliners traffic.

For other special operations, the departure is usually commencing of the most relevant base to the helicopters we are using. For example, Hellenic Army uses Stefanovikio AFB (IATA: -, ICAO: LGSV), Tatoi AFB (IATA: -, ICAO: LGTT) etc.
